Thanks for this. Whenever I type that sound, it's intended as like an exasperated sigh

[–] starik@lemmy.today 12 points 1 week ago

I read it as hiss, but with a slack jaw and staring blankly ahead, like a zombie

Koreans use ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ (hhhhh) and ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ (kkkkk). They also put ~~~~~ everywhere, apparently that makes things less serious.

In Japan they'll use either 笑笑笑 or wwww. Sometimes you see ハハハ which is a transliteration of hahaha.

It’s due to how the letter is spelled in brazilian portuguese, it more of a 'kah' sound, like a cackle.

Isn’t philo-Semitism awesome?

[–] starik@lemmy.today 13 points 1 week ago

It really is. “You’re so smart and know how to make lots of money. You must be the reason I don’t have lots of money. I want to kill you.”

From my limited experience as an American. We do quiet racism. Europe and Asia are far more homogeneous and blunt.

[–] rabber@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 days ago
