Literally nobody asked for this game lol. We wanted Black Flag 2, not World of Warships 1680

Like seriously, it was so easy to make this work. Take assassins creed black flag, remove the assassin stuff, make a bigger world, more pirate stuff to do, maybe some base upgrading. No need to change gameplay much, no need to reinvent the wheel.

I would have liked World of Pirate Age Ships, if it worked.

I can't wait to just skip that game completely. As more stuff is revealed and as we approach the release date of Feb 16th, the more I believe the game will be a massive letdown.

In this current article is discussed the slow respawn rate of necessary items for in-game progression and people queuing to get them. REALLY rewarding for casual players (<30mins playtime per day).

If you're playing anywhere close to "per day", you're not really casual.

You're right. Perhaps I based my view on the gaming time I had daily before and after having kids.

I consider myself lucky to play 20-30mins a night and that is if the kids behave at bedtime, hence why I said casual. It's the kind of game that I will never progress in as it requires a lot of playtime.

They should definitely respect your time.

But they should also be respecting the time of people who don't play daily. Stuff like daily log-in bonuses are designed for the sole purpose of breaking your brain.

Not that I disagree but games like this are not made for casual audiences.

In the middle of an epic sea battle, the French surrounding me. I had just completed the mission, full sails and pushed for an opening, as fast as I could back to Santa-Anna.

“You have been disconnected from the server”

Guess I’m playing “Black Flag” for a couple hundred more hours.

Back when that multiplayer game opened its doors to players, everyone discovered a problem with obtaining certain mission-critical information or items: you had to wait in line. The respawn rate was way behind the amount of people playing, causing people to have to wait around for certain items or NPC dialog. Sometimes that wait could be quite long.

Ignoring everything else about how dumb turning this into a live service was, this is batshit game design.

Competing (with combat or other actual mechanics) for limited mission items is one thing. But just fucking waiting for other people? Dumpster fire.

I've been playing the open beta for a bit, and it's surprisingly not terrible. I'd spend $5 on it but not 70.
