Do note, I don't control mlym.org, so, wouldn't recommend putting your credentials into it!

It would be nice if there was a desktop site/app like this that was instance agnostic, so you could use it to log into an existing account.

That, IS instance agnostic. Works with any instance. Just visit Mlmym.org and enter the instance.
