Honours to him for holding the post of Prime Minister .. respect to his family for the loss of their patriarch ... but I'm not mourning someone who degraded the lives of millions of the poorest Canadians to line the pockets of the wealthiest Canadians.

His legacy is the financial black hole he created for all of us and to degrade our lives for the benefit of his rich friends. It's a legacy we are still digging ourselves out of even after he left office 30 years ago.

The wealthy will celebrate him ... the poor won't know who he is .. and the rest will be indifferent to his passing ... that shows you what kind of Prime Minister he was.

The name of the previous most popular conservative party in Canada before it got trounced, reduced to 2 seats, and then merged with the Reform Party to create the Conservative Party of Canada. Yes, the name is a contradiction. We also find it funny. Just an idiosyncrasy of Canadian politics.

Remember that brief moment where they were the Conservative Reform Alliance Party?
