Was watching the good place last night,

They went to the bad place and in the train station there was a poster in the background saying "now showing Pirates of the Caribbean everywhere and forever"

This is intended as torture so maybe we're in the bad place

You're overestimating people. This will absolutely be greeted with open arms by the public and not flop at all, financially at least. It might be shit but a ton of people will go and see it no matter how good or bad it looks. It's a pretty certain money maker.

Note that I couldn't care less myself, I won't even pirate it.
