Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

The actual Vi? Not Vim or Neovim? In 2023?
Vi? Not Vim or Neovim
I have probably had them all and then some more. Honestly, I don't care about these fine distinctions.
I'd say that whether the backspace key works properly is a pretty important distinction.
pretty important
Not that much... only if you have a habit of making many single key typos ;-)
For editing text, better learn all the other ways, too. They are so much more powerful than the deletion of single characters.
I just learned about neovim. Combined with vim bootstrap. Officially made it my primary and aliased for vi
The one that I can install from my package manager?
Idk I use Vim. Rip Bram.
I'm still on my first one, because I do not have enough fingers to exit even a single EMAC.
