This is the advice I came here looking for. I'm intimidated by the switch and have no time, but if there's a distro that's easy to get going, I'm there for it. I'll check it out!

I'm not going to lie, that sounds really good. I'm sorry about your job, but your dinner sounds amazing.
As another White Dude for Harris, I concur entirely. It's definitely an issue with white dudes.
I'm clueless about Linux, so I tried it. It seems to be just working for me for most of my Steam library, at least with Proton Experimental. I don't have a XBone controller, but my SteelSeries knockoff does fine. That said, I have no idea what might cause it to break. (Though, it doesn't seem to like my mechanical hard drives much.)
(I use bazzite, btw ;) )
