At least some of the demographics is likely because older folks often have more free time to be able to get out and protest, but I know an awful lot of passionately liberal boomers.

And you're right, now that conservatives are being undeniably impacted, it seems that their support of Trump might be faltering.

Slightly more boomers voted conservative in the last few elections than voted liberal. Slightly more of the younger generations voted liberal. The difference isn't that stark. If you attended any of the no kings protests, you saw that the overwhelming majority were older folks. This kind of age prejudice isn't helping anything.

My problem with most southern sweet tea is that it's too sweet. I love sweetened iced tea, but usually get unsweetened and add either sugar or lemonade (the latter if it's real, and not that stuff that's mixed from a powder).

I can remember when I'd come home from high school, if I smelled oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, I'd know my mom would have saved me some of the dough in a Tupperware in the fridge. I'd get it, a spoon, and a half gallon jug of milk and sit down in front of the TV until they were both gone.

I was super active, and really skinny, but it still seems funny to think about now.

More than just giving the benefit of a doubt, especially in dating situations, people often fill in what they don't know about the other person with what they want to be true. It's not necessarily a conscious thing, but it happens a lot.

One of the other managers at my work brought in a resume he got for everyone to laugh at because the guy had put being a WoW raid leader as part of his skills. I had done a little of it, so I said "Imagine getting 40 people together virtually on headsets. They're broken into three different main roles, but within those each has different abilities. You have to lead them through an encounter where everyone has to do their part, there might be a lot of coordinated moving around, and some of the mechanics might be complicated. If just one person screws up, all 40 people could die, and you have to start over. Some of the people may never have seen it before. It's your job to explain what's going to happen, lead 40 people through it, and keep everyone calm and focused if something goes wrong. How many of our current leaders could do that?"

I think I made the point, but the problem is that very, very few hiring managers are going to know what a raid leader is, and are just going to see it as playing a video game.

More dots!

If it makes you feel better to have someone more ancient around, my youngest turned ten that year.

Mine was a Timex Sinclair. You got to each of the Basic keywords by hitting a function key and then one of the other keys, which actually helped because you could see them all. And, since I didn't have any external storage, I got lots of practice writing them.

And ATT Worldnet!

You can buy it in half gallons and quarts, too, but a lot of families go through a gallon in a couple days.

No, because to be naturally immune, you have to get sick. A vaccine lets me become immune without getting sick.
