Through 9 Games in the NBA season, the Pistons opponents have shot 82 more free throws than them. (alien.top)
 

Per Basketball Reference, The Detroit Pistons through 9 games have given up 254 free throws to 172 of the their own.

With the team being young/reckless and lacking a player who gets “Star” treatment, does this seem like a normal differential? Are there other factors to help explain the difference?
