Basically, i spent a lot of money on a gift for someone. i thought it was perfect for them but it’s not. the clock part is too bulky so they won’t wear it. they are very grateful for the gift and insist it’s great but i know it’s to spare my feelings. i am devastated to have spent so much on something they won’t even wear.
i really want to make this perfect. i know very little about watches and alterations though. are there any places that would be able to somehow make the clock part less thick? it’s not real gold surrounding it.
if not, do you think i should sell it and get a better one for them? im debating it at this point. i can’t get a refund on the item because i bought it way in advance.
any other ideas? im kinda mortified to have spent so much on a gift that isn’t even that good.
