I'd like to see the information debunking this. In my area, 89% of power is from fossil fuels. My naive understanding of this is that this will still generate emissions, although I would expect the capabilities of reducing harmful emissions to be much better at a power plant instead of having to build it into every vehicle. So my thinking is that emissions are still happening, just not necessarily where people are living and with better emissions management.

Good argument for separate infrastructure.
Why the fuck do people hate on the one class of people using the most efficient form of transportation that also provides exercise in a world that can't stop spewing greenhouse gasses (For electric cars, those greenhouse gasses are being spewed at the power plant instead of from the car itself) and people don't get enough exercise?

I thought he branched out to tech tips as a way of making extra money. Never seen the tech tips myself and with the controversy not too long ago probably never will.

I can see how they were useful when Lemmy was smaller. But now there's enough content for me to browse that I don't miss those reddit cross posts.
In any case, every time I visit Reddit and look at my local subs (Montréal, Québec or Canada) I look at the comments and they're absolutely vile. The community has become so fucking toxic it's unbearable. And I also realized how my mental health actually improved since I left that community.
I used to dread seeing that I had messages on Reddit. My first thought would be "Oh, what did I do now?". On Lemmy, I'm much more interested in seeing any responses to my comments.
Careful of backcharging large companies. They'll remove your account from all their services. Looking at you Google.
