GrooveShark was a great music streaming service. If a track wasn't available you could just upload it and it would be available to all users.

It eventually got sued into oblivion leaving us with the streaming platforms of today. I really wish it could have made the transition to being legit because it had a great interface.

They definitely still hold up, and can actually be better seeing them as an adult for the first time if the last time you watched them was as a kid.

There's always one in the group that jumps right to cannibalism in an emergency.

Can't blame earthquakes on climate change, except for the ones caused by fracking.

That's the number of homeless people, not the amount of money that homeless people have.

I've done intermittent fasting and found that this is just your body producing hormones telling you its time to eat. These hormones are pretty good at keeping schedules for you. Once you start fasting, you do get jittery and cranky during this time but it goes away rather quickly. After a few days the hormone levels start changing and within a week or two you stop feeling hungry at that time. It's really weird to teach your body that you don't need to eat at your usual times. And learning that feeling hungry isn't the worst thing in the world (if your living conditions are such that you're not worried about your next meal) is actually very freeing.

I nudged my sliders until all the important factors—tear duct length, tear duct height, skin glossiness, etc—were where I needed them to be, and then hit the "randomize appearance" button a few times for good measure. Then, I booted my creation out the door and into life.

Did I write and publish it this while sleepwalking or something?

It's often illegal for a company to disclose that they've been compelled to provide information to law enforcement. So many companies had a warrant canary which said they had not been served with a request for information.

Reddit for instance removed their warrant canary 8 years ago
