Hi I live in one of the Nordic country.you are right , if you want a serene, calm, without hiccups life , this is the place to be, excellent for spending your retirement years, and enjoy nature. BUT life here is long and boring, agreed you won't live like AMERICAN lifestyle here but as you said you just live, there is no excitement, the long dark winters even down in southern parts of countries are unbearable sometimes, there is less you can do, yesterday I saw restaurant about 49 minutes away from me , for specific radler beer at around 7 o clock and I knew I could go there because it was in other nearby city, I knew if I went now I won't be able to back at my home since buses/trains will stop. Lot of out people who come to work on Monday , take a flight and if they reach anything after 8pm , they stay in big city just because there is no train in midnight. It's manageable, silence is deafning , life pace is less than crawl and YOU need vitamin D from day 1.

I am in between both platform's and honestly Reddit still is good source for me for almost anything, Lemmy users seems to be pretentious LINUX users who attacks me all the time when I say Linux is not useful, no variety of content ( of course that right I'll take time) but I can go through contet of Lemmy within half day at most bit reddit is vast. I do use only rdx so no ads for me, no replies from me. I totally agree with you on Lemmy that we need more communities and also simplification on how to access different federated worlds

I am.looking for more people who does not haate you because you don't use Linux on Lemmy. Even the community where one can say Linux is not usable for everyday, till it stands on cruches of terminal to do anything and don't have to get multiple down votes

Tell me where to find executables for programs installed without using Terminal , a very very clickable task in windows

Haven't you heard 4% market is captured by Linux , it's the ONLY saviour os out there , windows users and macos users are idiots and all Lemmy Linux dudebros grandpa's are using Linux without single problem. Despite the fact that each Linux had it's own shell and there is no escape from terminal ( in 2024) if you even as try to use something more complicated. ;)

Are you joking or are you a shill? All of Western world has multiple protections and amenities in place firmly yet. If you talkn about economy, where is the money? I mean we would not have stories about soldiers being asked to use tampons, dealing with North Korea out of all countries. Are you sure you are talking about v same russia we are seeing in 2024?

I am in dire need of such solution just because I moved with Europe but don't want to let go my old number, fortunately I visit one 6 months but what if I pass the deadline?
Besides Google won't let me use my Balance unless I have that specific counties card in phone and it's active... If you know how to do it let me know.

I wanted to install jackett and sonarr, they are complicated to use as is, moreover I am using Ubuntu. I am following fuidleine for installing jackett with STUPID command line making it EXTRA difficult. But now I have to change directory ownerships and what nots. I am the ONLY user on this machine. I want to own everything by default I am root I am admin I am user I am all. How do I make this happen instead of sending stupid commands all the time and making using Linux EASY. Before anyone getting on about Security I don't give 2centa about it .I just want to use and install and do whatever I wish.

How do I make this happen Forever, once inför all.
