If you like Sinn watches, have a look at Gunand:

https://www.guinand-uhren.de/watches.html

That's the small boutique run by Helmut Sinn - former pilot and flight instructor - afterhe sold Sinn Spezialuhren. Turns out he didn't want to retire and ran this small shop almost until he died at 102 years of age. It's been run as a mom-and-pop shop today by a charming couple.

Great quality, many of Helmut Sinn's original dsigns and great value because they don't sink so much money into advertising.

It used to be a traditional italian watch brand - and I'd bet that it went belly-up like 99% of watch beands during the quartz crisis.

Now the brand seems to be owned by an Italian jewwlery store chain, which is certainly better than many other brands only claiming to be Italian/European.

But it's not a "traditional" watch brand.

Absolute nonsense - and the kind of desperate ideas that the failed NFT world is trying to float.

I love the idea - but honestly, I'd take her watch-.shopping. Most men have different tastes in watches, getting excited about the "right" tool-watch and heritage. The women I know are more conscious of the aethetics.

I'd also get her shopping because showing up as a rookie pilot with a dedicated 5k IWC Pilot watch on the first day may not be the message she wants to send to her colleagues. If she shows up with something more generic - like a Rolex or a Cartier - that may be more what she wants to communicatr, and the latter is something her female friends will likely appreciate more than some story about a historical pilot's tool watch.

Just some ideas to think about. You obviously know her tastes much better than we do :)
