True, I just wasn't sure whether this belonged in a meme community or a more serious linux community. My bad if this is the wrong place for this post.

Been daily driving Bazzite for almost half a year now. I currently have two seperate 2TB SSD’s, one with Windows 11 and the other has Bazzite. Bought a 1TB SSD so I can migrate my Windows install to a smaller SSD since I much prefer Linux now.

Just need to stop being lazy and finish migrating everything I care about off my old Windows install onto my new 1TB Windows install, then I plan to install CachyOS onto the soon to be free’d up 2TB SSD, since I’m curious about Arch Linux. I’ll always have Bazzite to fall back on if need be, or god forbid, Windows.

I haven't used Ubuntu since around 2014, so I couldn't give you a proper comparison tbh. Sorry!

What I can say is that my entire Steam library basically just works, and has since the day I installed Bazzite. I have more trouble with non-steam games though, EA app and battle.net games can be finicky at times, you just gotta mess with different proton/wine versions until they work, but they do all eventually work, at least for me. I don't play much MP games outside of Starcraft 2, Overwatch 2, Helldivers 2, and Space marine 2, so if you play any MP games I don't play, then your mileage may vary.

I'm extremely happy with Bazzite, it's made me a true Linux convert, which is why I want to dip my toes into Arch in the form of CachyOS while keeping Bazzite as a backup in case I fuck something up!

Oh I didn't know that, thank you!

God damn, you can't even spell or use grammar properly and you get a vote. I'm not even American, and it still pisses me off that people as dumb as you exist. As much as I hate to admit it, murican elections have far reaching consequences, if trump gets in again, then that's terrible for the world as a whole.

Harris is by far the lesser evil, and spare me the bullshit about both sides being the same. Both options suck yes, but one is clearly less shitty for not just America, but all of your allies. Even here in Canada where a third party is actually semi-viable, there's still basically no chance for the NDP to win sadly, let alone some random 3rd party in murica. Vote against trump by voting for Harris or support him by voting for anyone else, like it not, those are your choices.

I've been running bazzite for about 6 months now, daily driving for about 5 months and its never once broken on me. During boot, you're presented with 4 snapshots you can choose between so if an update did happen to break something, it's easy as just choosing an older snapshot after a reboot. I'm running it on a 7600x and a 6700XT GPU. Everything just worked out of the box for me, steam games work perfectly 99% of the time in my experience, and when you run into an issue just go to protondb and you'll probably find the fix there.

Games run through lutris can be annoying at times, the EA app and battle.net games glitch out on me much more than steam games, but they do work, just gotta tinker with proton and wine versions till it runs.

Highly recommend bazzite, I love it after being a life long Windows user.

I'm not vegan, but I'd still eat the shit out of that. I'd prefer more cheese and tomatoes personally, but I'm a pig for cheese and tomatoes.

Looks delicious OP, well done!

Tbh the bigger instances need to bite the bullet and defederate from .ml. There are alternatives to all the good comms on .ml, they just aren't as active. Defederating would move a lot of users onto the alternatives and get some control back from the terrible .ml mods and admins.

Banning people from multiple completely unrelated comms for something that happened in one comm is bullshit and they abuse the hell out of that. I generally try not to participate in any .ml comm because of that.

.ca is good as well, the admin is top tier and very transparent with the userbase. I'm quite happy with my instance.

Eh even with being allowed to do things, it still sucks after a while. My job is seasonal with half the year being insanely busy and other half has practically nothing to do after work dries up. Luckily the bosses are chill about it, just show up and "pretend" to be busy and you can watch TV on your phone while "cleaning" the same tools or trays etc over and over. It's nice for a few weeks after the demanding busy season ends, but even with being allowed to listen to music or watch stuff on your phone, take extra breaks, chat with people as much as you want, it still gets old having to be at work 40 hours a week with nothing truly productive to do.

That's with good bosses that want to keep the workers happy, doing tedious mind numbing work for bosses that are trying to get you to quit sounds like hell. No thank you.
