Hey, sounds like a tough situation. In my case someone I previously worked with told me about this and asked if I'm interested, he also knows the client so it's pure luck I guess. Can you try communicating with your boss and tell him/her that you feel uncomfortable because of how you are treated? Also don't stop searching for a new job meanwhile..
