And yet in the same breath we often point out that prison time doesn't rehabilitate (think petty crime). I think realistic fines to individuals AND companies that are more than "cost of doing business," as well as blacklisting the (undoubtedly several) individals responsible from being able to hold that level of power in an industry, not just the company, then there may be a reasonable deterrent, and it won't be a languishing burden on tax payers to put these guys up in dressed up 4 star hotels.

Why limit it? If you're actively making money, or you are a licensed business attempting to do so, people actively helping you build business deserve to be compensated. If a developer just happened to live in your area and said "I could make your business better by making this thing for you," would they be worth hiring? What's the saying, socialize the resources, privatize the profits? Size << Intent

I mean this is already a thing to certain degrees right? Virtualization platforms I use both are free for personal use, but not business use, or at least certain feature package use isn't permitted. What's the difference? Putting the software under a different license/eula?

Yeah, trying a Snapper restore since I'm out of things I know to look at, but that appears to be the next step. Thanks for the info on the Nvidia settings, is that in some config file?

I have really been struggling to get proton to work in OpenSUSE, despite ProtonDB having only positive experience with the games I've attenpted. Running Tumbleweed X11 KDE with an 30 series Nvidia GPU. And in trying to fix them I seem to have broken my display drivers altogether. Plenty of system restarts, but all this happened without going into windows for a month. And that's why I dual boot 😢

Very impressive you've gotten her to stay still enough to rest your cup on her bum!

Most coatings like paint that have this effect include ceramics to do most of the reflection, but the other paint stuff the ceramic substrate is emulsified in does not have near the reflectivity, so you're impairing yourself if reflectivity/heat rejection is the only goal.

The "fighting off her attacker" and "not reporting" are from two different instances though, the former succeeding the latter. When she was raped by a superior officer she was too afraid, but now she has grown as a part of that system (though the article says GOP so I assume everyone here still thinks she's a bad guy) and has gained the ability to call out and pursue her attacker. This is the same dressing up presentation that spreads the far reaching misinformation hurting our society, so I would encourage you to fully round out your statements with the whole truth in the future.

Is there an ultimate pickle-obelisk in the middle? If so, this may be mankinds ultimate sandwich.

My favorite thing for these parking lot issues is just folding the passenger mirror in. Non destructive, annoying, and the owner almost never notices until they have at least gotten in the vehicle, if not already moving, and have to stop, get out, fix the mirror, and start the whole "go" processes over.

Ideally it would be popular enough that you wouldn't need the site modifier. Google would see that Lemmy has the most seen and perpetuated answer just like it sometimes does with Reddit now, whatever the instance.
