Are the polls landline calls? If so you are going to get mostly boomers that still have a landline

I had an awesome team of GP, Surgeon, Oncologist, dentistry, coordinators radiologists, nurses, ENT, porters, etc people in Lower Mainland BC. People complain about healthcare here, but when you are legit sick, they work fast and focused.

You cam teach it expected behaviour of apps...but for .folders I would say that falls under SELinux, which seems to have a learning curve to it

If you like Indian, there are places that serve Thali lunch or sign up for thali delivery. it is a prescribed meal with some flexible choices but basically slap down $10 and you get a metal tray with 3 curries, soup, rice and bread. Everyone has the same tray, like you see in prison shows

I found this out when i had cancer and taking care of the kids. No time for making extra time for tasks; so combining was a necessity. waking up, bring the laundry basket down the hall to the kitchen, make breakfast for kids, when going to the garage to take the kids to school bring basket on the way to laundry room. Getting home toss laundry in. when heading out to pick kids up switch them to the dryer. come back bring basket off dried stuff back in to room. Other stuff like fold towels while sitting on toilet.

I think it was old Chryslers had opposite lugnuts, I can only imagine how many stripped threads happened

[–] BCsven@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago

You aee assuming a top orientation moving to the right. Give somebody a wrench handle at the bottom of nut and tell them left to loosen, you will see how most take it literally and move handle to the left side of their body. they think in terms of their left and their right, not the screws right left from a starting location at top, or if from 4 oclock position to the "left of" 4 oclock as if you were facing the 4.

[–] BCsven@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

Because people get confused when there is no space for the wrench at the top, and they put the handle at the bottom and try to move the wrench left or right, not referencing the top of bolt.

Because they aren't using the saying as a clokwise/counter clockwise reminder but as a flat out instruction.

They mean is the wrench handle moving left from the 12 o'clock position or left from the 6 o'clock position. You would not believe how many people struggle with lefty righty because of start location.

I defer to clockwise and counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise in UK). Except for new gen that never learned analog clock stuggles with this concept also.

Then they encounter a Left Hand thread and the universe implodes
