Over 99% of people will never work for themselves, the idea can be so alien it makes people uncomfortable. Do your research and keep on trucking.

Depends on the entrepreneur. I started profitable because of the way I executed.

Sounds like you jump around too quickly. I used to do that too. Focus on the most promising project until it cashflows.

Tell them you were bought out and you no longer want to be a founder

 

Say you make 50k salary, how much more would you need to be making from side gig to quit the 9-5? Salary is a guarantee, how much extra do you account for the risk of giving up the guarantee? 60k? 70?

Of course this doesn't account for self employment tax, health insurance, retirement benefits included.
