Oh, the grammar folk have made it to lemmy! You're right tho

It is the unfortunate consequence of having a public platform. Some parties have a stake in seeing it fail, or want to use it selfishly at the expense of everyone else.
These can be competitors, criminals and big companies who rely on everything being under their control.
This is why good moderation is important and having something like adblock or a simple filter is a thing I do recommend. Note tho, just like any platform that doesn't pay their moderators, some lemmy spaces (and sometimes it's mods) are quite a mess.
Sometimes it's because orgs that make millions just decide to be irresponsible and hoard wealth (eg, wikipedia) and sometimes it's because it's run by volenteers (like a good chunk of lemmy, mastodon and matrix)
I've got filters running on my end, buy asklemmy has been being getting a lot of spam posted recently. Just lazy copy-paste bs with a fishing link
...and corrupt :/

I can make this argument while moving at 100km/h across a well maintained surface in the comfort of a metal box
TLDR: Tesla doesn't bother selling trough dealerships. Dealers surprised they don't sell a lot of tesla's
Even if all emissions stop cold turkey today, it's going to take longer than our lives to restore. I'm sorry, but you're too late for cheap olive oil.
note: stopping carbon emissions now would drastically reduce the harm done tho
Cool, I might see this in a museum sometime
Not how it works, not hoe it's being deployed, and not how they're planning to make it practical
What a garbage article. Cool tech tho, even if I don't think it'll go anywhere
Get yourself the fake olive oil, most of it in stores is anyways
I personally think it's a ton better. The platform is a bit less mature, but the people are much nicer and the filtering/blocking is lightyears ahead
