The Lemmy devs will have to implement it as a feature. One that is, totally accidentally, really unreliable and very easy to turn off.

The unfortunate thing is that those who want privacy can get it online. It's not particularly difficult.

I think this scanning should just be allowed, not required. That would trigger big tech to do their big tech thing: scan it all. And niche apps that 99% of people don't use anyways will still have the privacy some look for.

Effectively putting those safety measures up for 99% of people, while still allowing for individual freedom and privacy for those who choose to exercise those rights

I have Netflix, and some shows you can actually still buy episodes of. Which is what I prefer. I don't like this subscription model, or losing access when the WiFi stutters :/

Hola you gotta be drinking a lot to be getting billed €50 every time

Damn, that does make it a rough situation for the consumer

I'd say it's a service issue. I can see a trailer for a movie and have no idea where to watch it. And there's a tonne of places to check where it might be. And even then, they all have their own app? building? payment plan? device requirements? style?

Then there's the seven seas, nice and consistent

Gotta find a good restaurant, the cheap, quick or busy places usually aren't the ones with the best food

Try tap water, it's even cheaper

I've always had the anti-neighbour style setup. Much less harmful to your ears than headphones
