Back in June in North Carolina a family was charged with MANSLAUGHTER after their 7 year old was hit by a car while walking to a store a mile away with his 10 year old brother. The 76 year old driver is facing no charges. Don't impede careless drivers by being near the street in these great united states!

Yeah I blocked those ages ago and the only game that I was actually interested in that got blocked was baldurs gate 3. Easy to hit "show games blocked by my filters" to get the one game that was the exception, which I already knew about without Steam telling me so

Sounds interesting! I'll have to look into those, thanks for the mention! That last bit, I think, is what kills it for me at the higher stakes, I like having the POTENTIAL for victory every run. Having an occasional impossible run isn't the end of the world, but when it's more assured losses than potential wins, there's a line

Oof. I've played a lot of Balatro, but I finished blue stake and went "any more than this stops being fun." Can't imagine going all the way to gold for every deck. Is it just a completionist thing? Or is the challenge of it fun for you in moment to moment gameplay?

Duluth Trading co work pants. High comfort and durability, good range of motion, pass as khakis for business casual most of the time

The last time I bought pants, the guy at the register had nothing to say but "hell yeah" "Do you need your receipt?" "Nah" "Hell yeah" He must've said it 6-8 times

Can't wait to remove the ladders from the pool Bezos is swimming in and then have Zucc bottom for the grim reaper to keep him from dying. Zucc is pregnant now. This happens every day. Elon is of course locked in the basement with all the babies.

Totally reasonable. Not every game is for everyone, no guilt!

It gets better, but that does continue to be a thing. Part of the reason it's so heavy is a bit of a spoiler, so I'll leave it to your discretion:

Tap for spoilerAfter some point, you gain the ability to rewind time, and while things are fairly shippable on review, you'll start having informed decisions to make that matter.
That being said, either way the game is somewhat chatty. Even if it gets better, it never completely goes away.

Not gonna lie, I'm not that big on shooters these days, but after HLL was free on epic I did have a bunch of fun with some friends playing it, intermittently getting into character, begging the squad medic to help me so I could go home to my darling Betsy. I don't want to die like this, on some kraut battlefield an ocean away from her. Take care of Betsy for me

There's actually a Wizardry mobile game that dropped recently that is technically a gacha game with permadeath, but is actually pretty good and I've yet to put a cent into it. Wizardry Variants Daphne. I wish the dungeon layouts were a little more complex, but I'm not that far

I've got an old win10 laptop. It's nothing fancy in 2025, but I use it now and then while traveling, just to have a proper computer on hand. It's time to move it over to Linux, and I have A LITTLE Linux experience. I work in software dev, so I know my way around CLI, but I don't have much firsthard experience, other than occasionally using Kali for offsec tools. What are the distros I should be considering for a personal gaming laptop for occasional use for both gaming and occasional general use? Why?
