It promotes familiarity with the machine which is best to avoid. Except of course if the machine uprising happens, then it would be in you favour to have been using it for years.

Maybe they should give them extra money and resources so they can produce two versions: normal, and background mode with reiteration littered through it.

This is correct. As a grown arse-man, this is a fantastic movie. Number is great too, and there's not many movie I am actually looking forward, but the 3rd Incredibles movie makes the cut.
