With the Mavericks’ victory over the Rockets, the Pelicans are the only 3-1 team in West Group B, meaning they advance to Vegas and will face either the Kings or Warriors in the Quarterfinal.

The all-time record was set by the 2013-2014 76ers who lost 26 consecutive games.

The Pistons are currently the losers of 14 straight and have just lost convincingly to one of the worst teams in the league. They have no easy opponents coming up on their schedule. Will we see them match or even surpass the all-time record for consecutive losses?

Congratulations on getting to witness history.

Winner goes to Shanghai Sharks(dynasty team). Loser is headed to Qingdao Eagles(1 playoff appearance in 10 years).

With the Pelicans victory, both the Clippers and Mavericks join 11 other teams in being eliminated. Better Luck next year.

Most of the 7 eliminated teams are pretty bad. That’s why they were eliminated so quickly.

With the Magic’s win over the Celtics, the Raptors join the Jazz, Trailblazers, Pistons, Wizards, Grizzlies, Spurs as officially out of contention. Better luck next year.

Did you already receive your invitation to the Playa Haters Ball this year?

They, along with the Pistons, Blazers, Grizzlies, Spurs, and Wizards are 100% not getting that Vegas trip and $500k. Better luck next year.

The Blazers have joined the Pistons, Spurs, Grizzlies, and Wizards as officially relegated to playing the spoiler role in the tournament. Better luck next year.

All are 0-3, meaning they are mathematically eliminated from advancing past the group stage. Better luck next year.

Like most perpetually bad teams in every sport, the answer is garbage management and ownership. Much like the Browns or the Pirates, they are fundamentally not a serious team because of how poorly they are run.

My personal guess is Phoenix, LAC, GSW, Philadelphia, Miami, and Boston will be the pool winners with Denver and Milwaukee as the wild cards. Final is GSW vs. Miami. Miami wins off a very clutch Jimmy Butler performance.

Here are the tournament pools:

West Pool A: Memphis, LAL, Phoenix, Utah, Portland

West Pool B: Denver, LAC, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston

West Pool C: Sacramento, Golden State, Minnesota, OKC, San Antonio

East Pool A: Philadelphia, Cleveland, Atlanta, Indiana, Detroit

East Pool B: Milwaukee, New York, Miami, Washington, Charlotte

East Pool C: Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, Orlando

Which pool will be the toughest? Who will win each pool? Who’s going to win the whole thing? Who will be making the underdog tournament run? Who will be the tournament MVP? What are your predictions for the tournament in general?
