I don't mind ads.

But I do mind having targeted ads. To be fair, most of what Google presumes about me is wrong, but from the ad patterns it's pretty obvious what's going on. Our data shouldn't be hoarded and we shouldn't be herded like cattle from which they can extract money through ad placement.

I'm fine with subscription services, and ads, but the steps they're taking to maximize their revenue is gross and I don't just mean youtube. This is just the stuff we know about for sure.

You may also want to check out Gander. As of blender 4.3 you can add a symlink to support asynchronous goose integration. Try sudo ln ~/Gander/lib/gaggle /usr/bin/goose

Tested working with the nightly build.

Details:

Overall it works well for a PDA/music player. Bluetooth still falls short of expectations, but issues are almost always resolved with restarting the service.

It really is a shame that this OS is such a niche in the mobile ecosystem. The potential is endless.

Many thanks to all the developers that put the time in to make cool things.

  • Kali linux (unofficial)
  • Added Mobian repos
  • Replaced phosh with plasma-mobile
  • Nunchuk paddleboat is now deprecated
