Thank you! I didn't know you could just do that! Though it's been a long time since I spoiled the ballot and I do actually just vote now. But if things are that bad again I'll know what to do.

Edit: No I can't. The option is only available in provincial elections and only available in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. If you live in one of those provinces though, it's a good option!

In Canada we vote with a pencil on a piece of paper so I have spoiled my ballot in the past by not selecting a candidate and writing "NO" on the ballot

Feels authoritarian to me. I think everyone should vote! But I wouldn't force people to. If you did, I suspect that a lot of votes that ordinarily wouldn't have been cast would be spoiled anyway

There are DOZENS of people that know at least one character from Concord's name

Yeah I don't see this being an issue at all. They have to physically have my key? Oh no. Then they already have my key. And I will have disabled the key on my accounts. Unless they what, steal the key from me, take it to the lab, clone it with 11k worth of equipment, then sneak it back into my purse before I notice it's gone? That's some nation state espionage stuff and that is not in my threat model.

Of course countries do. But usually you call it a "Department of Communications" or something instead of "advertising".

Won't somebody think of the shareholders?!

Are we sure they don't mean "other people's religions" when they agree?

"Israeli Government Advertising Agency" Is this a lost in translation situation? Does it mean something more like "Government Communications"? Because a government having an agency blatantly dedicated to propaganda is.. well it's bold. But it could be me misreading what is meant by advertising.

I think it's very important that we still have brick and mortar stores. Especially the smaller and more independent ones. It's not a good world to live in when our goods distribution is handled by one or two insanely large megacorps. And online access can be revoked at the whim of the parent company. It's super convenient when Amazon has anything I want to buy (or a knock off :/ ) and I can click a button and in a few days it arrives, but it really feels bad to using that. I know amazon employees are treated like dirt. I know it's terrible for the environment for me to having items individually shipped to my house. And I don't get to go out and laugh or joke with the employees of the shops. And it does nothing for the economy of the place I live.

I really don't think Bookstores are a waste of space.
