I've been playing some outer wilds, but new vegas is tempting me after watching the show.

It's kinda the nature of the platform I feel like. The Fediverse is a bit confusing of a concept so it's less mainstream. On top of that, the content can be fragmented across different instances that might defederate with each other. Things could pick up in the future though, especially if people keep using the platform.

Usually the analog stick. I'm just more used to it so it feels more natural most of the time. But some games do play better with a dpad, so there are exceptions.

I think the switch did pretty well actually and I get why they made the decisions they made. As much as I love my steam deck, the thing takes up like twice as much space as my switch, for example. There is definitely room for improvement though.

I think people tend to go for open source when it is a free alternative. Especially when it's still quality. Blender is a good example of this.

I feel a lot of nostalgia towards my ds lite, even though I don't play with it very much these days.

I think it's because most people play mobile games as a way to pass time, rather than to do something actually engaging. So, people don't typically want to buy mobile games upfront, meaning devs gotta monetize in some other way, like p2w microtransactions.

Hollow Knight and blasphemous are a couple of great metroidvanias and also a pretty good challenge.

That's a shame... It was nice to have even if I didn't use it day to day.

I didn't expect them to make a movie for this but it's a welcome surprise!

I really enjoyed metroid dread and hollow knight. I also played a fair bit of hades and going under. Dredge is also really good. I wouldn't worry too much about sales unless it's a first party game. It's really the first party games that don't really go on sale often.
