it's worse to single out 1/12th the population and say they broke the camel's back

Abso-fucking-lutely, and I don’t know if it’s just infuriating or alarming that even self proclaimed liberals and leftists are pumping their fist looking for a minority to blame the situation on.

IANAD, but according to my doctor the PT (on your own at home) is permanent. 😩 I keep thinking it’s a lie and I’ll be fine skipping it if I’m active, and then wind up on another round of prednisone so that I can actually walk.

Not to discourage you, the PT definitely gets less painful! And if they say you don’t have to keep it up then I’d listen to them. But basically don’t be me and think you can cheat on PT after finishing in person appointments, lol.

This is how you give confused teenage Vulcans weird fried-egg adjacent fetishes.

Absolutely none of the therapy techniques were truly effective for me until I was on the right medication. I’m not saying this is the case for you, but if you have honestly been struggling with everything you’ve tried, that’s not you not being good enough or trying hard enough. It’s just a sign you might need meds on top of it.

Reminder that if you were born before 1989 in the US, your MMR vaccine may not be up to date. Prior to 1989 one shot was considered fully vaccinated, then they switched to two. One shot protects something like 93% of people and the second vaccine bumps it up to something like 97%. If you don’t have your vaccine records you can have your doctor check your immunity with a blood test.

It’s in the US, so it’s Aldi Süd. Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe’s in the US.

And only spent a brief period of time in the Bush administration not having a human heart beating in his chest!

I’m glad, stay safe! Grab some N95 or KN95 masks for outdoor use too while you’re at it 👍

Yes! A single camp fire can only put out so much wood smoke, but wildfires cause all the air around you to be saturated with smoke. The smoke can contain heavy metals and all other kinds of bad shit to breathe, because it’s not just dry wood the way camp fires are. The contents of any homes or cars that have burned are also now floating around in the atmosphere.

TL;DR: don’t breathe this

Just this morning, someone in a Discord I'm in (who wouldn't just fake stories) was explaining how someone they knew had a psychotic break on psychedelics, and, in the ambulance, narrated the paramedics' childhoods with disturbing accuracy

I think it’s entirely possible this person is being honest while also just not having a firm grasp over what actually happened, due to having a psychotic break from psychedelics. The paramedic simply agreeing to whatever they said (if the conversation did happen—I’ve been unsure whether a conversation I thought I had was real or not just from smoking too much weed) could have been interpreted as much deeper and more profound than it was.

None of this requires ill intent. The mind is just incredibly bad at making and retrieving memories in the way we want (infallible, like a video) even when you aren’t on drugs.

with an open window.

From a fellow resident of an area with frequent fires… Friend, close the window 😬 You don’t want to be breathing it! Wildfire particles are very tiny and will lodge themselves in your lungs. Do you have air purification going? Please be careful and take care of yourself.
