This video is meant to represent a lengthy flashback Max has after hearing Chloe’s self-flagellating speech and before she rips up the photo. „Don’t leave me stranded” – that’s Max’s reaction to Chloe saying she doesn’t deserve to live and should die. What about Max’s feelings? What if she needs Chloe? How can you throw your life away if there are people who would miss you dearly?
As a bonus, the word “stranded” sounds vaguely maritime, so it fits the pirate theme Max and Chloe have going on.
Promises are made to be kept, especially ones given to your parents-in-law.
