You could potentially save yourself some money and get yourself a food grade CO2 tank and refill the cartridges at home.

Wait, is this...

Wii games on WiiU look good enough on my 60 inches to me. Obviously you can do the upscaling and get all the bells and whistles but I don't know if these games would benefit from it at all. I like the slightly soft feeling as it is

I have quite a few consoles from most of the generations and honestly Wii is my favourite. I love playing Wii games, I love the idea of playing on this console and I love collecting for it. I think I actually have 3 or 4 Wiis but I use my WiiU for the HD (I do have a dongle for the Wii as well). There is no video game updates every time you put the disc in, there are no trophies or gamer score, no communities, social media features, ads. You boot it up and enjoy. Because it was so much different from what was on the market, developers couldn't simply port games onto it. They had to develop with the console and its hardware in mind and that's what made it special. I know that on paper Switch is just a better Wii as it has the best of both worlds (it has motion controls and its beefy enough to play more demanding games) but as the focus is mostly to catch up with the other consoles, I think it lost a bit of that magic.

This is it! Thank you so much!

It's not it. I've seen Glass Onion but this was was a lot darker. At the end they are all running away trying to disable some sort of AI that powers the house (I might be wrong on this one). Very heavy on the 70s estethic. They were sitting in like one of those living room pit situations from the 70s

Hi guys

I can't remember the tile of this film, or even if it's real (?!).

70s style/theme but modern. Bunch of people (some popular well known people) got invited to this genius/entrepreneur's house. They each got served a cocktail that was perfectly tailored to them. Then they went on this psychodelic trip and the whole thing went to shit.

Anyone? Please its killing me! :D

Hi all, I recently started my own ecommerce store with Woocommerce and I'm wondering if there is a free backup solution? So to backup my store, database - everything - in case something goes tits up. I have a NAS drive which could be used for storage. Any ideas? Thanks

Solid suggestion

Maybe you are right too - mayhaps it's not the right way. You can't deny that the intentions are right - maybe they just need better plan.

I, for one, support Just Stop Oil. Any form of fighting, raising awareness or disruption to tackle the global warming and pollution issue that so many of us shrug off. We take too much for granted.

Unfortunately no

Hiya, thanks for that. Is there any way of importing these render styles to OSM app?

Is it possible to get a nice looking overlay? Like this one: https://www.ecosia.org/map?q=lunga&coordinates=56.488247,-6.422436&placeName=Isle%20of%20Lunga

Ecosia Maps are using OpenStreetMap but the definition is so much more pleasant to look at. OpenStreetMap or Organic Maps are a lot more...technical.

When I was looking to replace my google tools, I couldn't find an easy to to alternative Google Photos. Things that were suggested like immich or Synology or ente required some level of technical know how or dedicated hardware. I ended up buying a Synology drive but I have issues with loading images/videos (it's extremely slow).

Today I stumbled upon https://stingle.org/

I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it might be a good option for anyone wanting to degooglify, but without all the extra fuffing around.

It also has a F-Droid distro!

Pricing starts at 1gb for free or 100gb for three bucks

If anyone get's a chance, let me know if it's really that good.

Only writing here because it seems to be GrapheneOS related, not app specifically, and I'm not award of other community dealing with this software.

I currently have OpenBoard with two languages installed- English and my native. My issue happens no matter if I have open board or GrapheneOS stock keyboard setup.

When I'm trying to erase the first two letters of a word I'm currently working on, it will then highlight the whole word + the space before it. Any change I will make from now on, will delete that space and will merge these two words together. It only happens if I already finished working on this word and I'm going back to fix this.

Video attached below to maybe better explain the issue. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi all,

I'm trying to make aware people of the recent Google movements to close gate the internet to their services and suggest to folks to move to Firefox.

One of my colleagues encouters this problem though:

and it doesn't happen in Chrome. Any ideas? It seems that it mostly happens when the font used on a page is sans-serif

I recently acquired a second hand DS216j with 6TB (SHR1 so only 3TB is usable). I moved all my Google Photos images and videos onto it, but now when I access it through QuickConnect it loads them really slow, the videos are constantly buffering and when they load they have a messed up framerate (really jittery). I have a 500 fibre connection and the station is connected to the router through an ethernet cable. Any idea how I could possibly fix this? Thanks

So I'm looking to disconnect myself from Google and their tracking (as much as possible) and I was thinking about installing GrapheneOS on my Pixel phone. I mostly use my phone for Lemmy, Signal, NewPipe and taking photos. The last one is my biggest bother at the moment. The Google Photos environment is so convenient - I take a photo, it uploads it to my Google Photos collection, and after a while, it deletes it from my phone to clear space, keeping only the cloud backup. Is there a functionality like this disconnected from Google that I would be able to implement on my GrapheneOS phone? I'm looking to invest in the Proton environment (mainly Mail and Drive) so I could use that for storage. Cheers

So when I go to https://lemmyverse.net/communities and search for let's say Wordpress communities, I can see at least 3 there. When I search on my instance, so I can join and subscribe, I can't see any. Why is that? The instances they are on are not defederated from my instace.

I joined Lemmy recently because of the whole Reddit situation and I'm a little bit disappointed with the mobile app situation - don't get me wrong, I'm really appreciative with what the community achieve so far and I know it's all on people's free time it gets developed.

But Jerboa looks pretty good (really reminds me of simplified Infinity for Reddit) but there is some serious features missing. My main point is, on my phone at least, it's unusable. Whenever I'm trying to load some posts it keeps showing

Value of type java.lang.String cannot be converted to JSONObject

I'm using the web app because it's the only way I can view posts, but it's missing some features.

Keep up the good work!

P.S. Can I change something in the settings to make my posts to be tagged as written in English by default?
