You’re allowed to not be ready to do something like that even if it would make your son happy. It’s okay to put up boundaries for your mental health.

Like how “you are what you eat”, our country renews itself with a new generation feeling the call to action and actually running for something.

If you ever have a chance to travel to Germany, there’s a museum devoted to “brotkultur” (bread culture) in Ülm. They have an entire wing related to bread as propaganda and how bread has always figured into the political sphere.

You’re already paying for shipping - just upfront and once a year. My reasoning when I quit was that I could likely add things to get to the free shipping or just pay for shipping a few times and still save money.
