I have an inconsistent schedule which includes night shifts. Ive never slept well, and whiskey+doxylamine=sleep, most of the time

Im not exactly sure the mechanics of it, but when a new number is activated (or a number changes carriers, etc) it pings some database that spammers have access to, and know that that number is live. Ive had it happen every time ive hanged carriers or set up a phone for someone. Dies down to normal levels in a couple months.

We're only a couple weeks in, but I think its good so far. I think the bigger pro to the switch is futurr proofing against dnd enshitification

Trying to download/export, and convert 1000ish kindle books to get out of amzns ecosystem (sh.itjust.works)
 

Does anyone have any experience with doing this? It's not for myself, but for someone who isn't tech inclined. I want to set him up with FOSS to avoid future shitification by azn. I know I need to strip drm, and then convert out of amz formats, but really have no idea how to do this. Any help would be appreciated! -j
