He couldn't get it working on his steam deck. I wish he would have told that at the beginning of the video. It would have saved me watching the rest.

I won't buy it.

It says on the github page that it works for both lemmy-Ui and Mlmym.

If anyone wants to hate this guy even more: listen to the Behind the Bastards episodes on this guy. It's a 6-parter, so you know it's going to be good.

I am aware it's different. All I'm trying to say is either make it single player, release dedicated server software or keep supporting it. You sold it as a product. Don't remove access to a product.

For the future maybe. For games that were sold one day, they would have to either keep supporting it, or release server software.

It is up to the gamers to keep supporting this practice in the future.

I can still play Unreal Tournament '99 and 2004 even though the servers are offline. I can even still play it online with the server ip and even use the server browser with fan mods.

You can't say the same for the crew when it goes offline.

That's not a metric. There's a local league for damn near every sport in most developed countries. That doesn't make the sports popular. It just makes it a sport in a competitive setting.

For DOS Gaming this could be useful. Sometimes the weirdest keybinds gets used

As far as I know, they do get dmca'd. But they delete a single file so it's incomplete. But if you have 2 different newsgroup providers they usually didn't delete the same file, so you can still download it.

But I could be totally wrong because I haven't really looked into this, and this is all from a very old memory.

Alright. I didn't know, thanks. Though the human motion blur is vastly different to camera blur in my experience. And games that have motion blur look really unnatural.

I liked lock screen widgets, but they also ate battery back in the day. Hopefully with better processing power that's not the case these days.

I never worry about motion blur, because I turn it off. The stupidest effect ever. If I walk around I don't see motion blur. Cameras see motion blur because of shutter speed, not the human eye.
