maybe this is somewhat unique to being a Bears fan but there is something very cutting about the questions I get asked by my gf who does not follow/care about football whatsoever
"So the Bears get to pick first like every year and they just take the wrong player"
"why would they fire your coach if you're just going to hire someone worse"
"isn't quarterback the most important player"

Tried to spin it but as it turns out, trying to explain that "this game is so bad that it's good because the worse that we are, the better pick we get -- but ALSO the worse that the Panthers play this year, we get a better pick too." sounded better in my head
I think it's time for Amazon and the NFL to just steer into the skid. Rotate the Bears and Panthers for TNF every week. Whatever team that plays the worst the week before has to wear the proverbial dunce cap and come roll in the mud. Zach Wilson come on down
