While happy with the win, this was a game that Ecuador had to finish off but kept on falling flat on their face. Enner had a nightmare of a game missing two key chances, Chavez was unlucky from a great save by the keeper, and Jordy kept on being offside which was so annoying to watch. But Kendry Paez, oh my god an absolute gem of a player and an amazing first half by him. Ortiz was another key player taking over the position of Estupiñan, what a game by him. Its a broken record at this point but Ecuador’s offence needs to find a solution soon as we still cant just rely on Enner, but it seems like we are in a better position for that now than before.
Bolivia were actually decent in the second half, way more chances than we thought and Henry Vaca was a key player in that, like 2/3 goals they could have scored and I was just fuming. But now they looked the better team in the second half.

For a manager like Alfaro who is known for his defensive style of play, he had more attack and creativity for our forwards than Sanchez. How the fuck did we do nothing for 90 mins, there was no flair, no ideas, nothing. Everyone was just passing and shooting everywhere and hoping something worked.
