Claxton missed the last 8 games with a high ankle sprain. Despite early estimates putting his return sometime in December, the Nets starting Center is set to make his return tomorrow against the Washington Wizards after only playing one game so far in the Nets season opener vs Cleveland. Dorian Finney-Smith had since taken over Starting Center duties and has seen surprising success in this role.

Dariq Whitehead was taken as the 22nd pick in the NBA draft by the Brooklyn Nets. In high school, he was a 5 star recruit across the board even earning the Mr Basketball Player of the Year in 2022, with many expecting him to land as a top-10 lottery pick once he entered the NBA. However, due to a foot injury during his freshman Preseason at Duke, Whitehead was forced to slow down his play and have a less than stellar year at Duke.

During this time however, Whitehead worked to become a very solid 3 point shooter averaging 8.3 Pts and 1 Ast on 52.8 eFG%. A low risk / high reward pickup by the Nets in my opinion, the fact that he's already working 2-2 before the start of the season is very promising.
