Müller with a goal and 2 assists to his name in 27 minutes. He should start ahead of Musiala in my opinion and play next to Kane.
Yep, he was decent enough not to make big mistakes in defence but not someone spectacular.
He is not a really good defender but he is decent enough to not make big mistakes. He is a second coming of Lahm in terms of attacking plays in right back not as a defender. He is a little bit slow to play in that position because in modern days you have to be fast when you play as a fullback because the tendency today is also to help the team in attack so you have to be fast enough to run the whole pitch from your goal to the opposition's goal and to be able to quickly turn in defence in case you are needed. And he plays as a deep lying playmaker and not as a CM but as a DM with not having defensive duties as a typical destroyer DM has but of orchestrating the play.
I don't get it why can't Müller play together with him and play either Wirtz and Musiala in the wings or Wirtz and Brandt or Brandt and Havertz or Wirtz and Hoffman or Musiala and Sane or Wirtz and Sane or any other combination of these 5 players. It's like coaches have problems with him playing as a cam or second striker he is in the last years of his career and he has still a lot to give and can be quite dangerous especially with Füllkrug taking defenders with him and opening space for Müller to score. I just wish he scores at least 5 goals with Germany because he will reach 50 goals and become the 3rd highest goalscorer of Germany ever.
A Kimmich Gundogan double pivot is really bad, neither of them can defend good and both like to play more in the attack you risk making your team really bad defensively and with Germany's defense being this bad, I don't think that it would be a wise decision to play them both.
I don't get it why doesn't he play Müller as a second striker with Füllkrug spearheading the attack.
He should be benched and Hummels should take his place.
