I would argue Zuckerburg had a lot of control over this project, lost a lot of money, and shareholders, due to the structure of Meta as a company, could do fuck all about it.

... But in almost literally every other company on earth, yea this is the case. And meta made these decisions in a world defined by the relationship you just described.

I screwed up this weekend and didnt get the culmination of Relaxing Time that I had wanted. I'd built and set up a new computer and downloaded the games I wanted to play - and then didn't get to play any. And now it's monday, and I'm hurt over it, and I'm avoiding things.

You've probably figured this out by now but KDE has all the theming and rainmeter style widgets available. I just installed most of my desktop aesthetics direct from the System Settings on KDE, it's mostly Catppuccin Mocha. Had to search for the Github for it to find some cool basic wallpapers that matched the theme perfectly.

Steam has some weird issues and I had it set to launch in terminal so the progress and errors get posted in there. Then I could search the web with the error codes. I don't know the command though.

For games try ProtonDB.com, and then sort by "Tweaks" or whatever to see what people did to make the game run correctly.

Yep, found this page, the commands don't work, I followed this in my search engine, and forums said the AMD open drivers are built into the kernel.

Now the proprietary ones (Mesa, OpenCL)? Dunno. I'm on Nobara because that stuff is set up to be one click.

Just use inflation to hide the losses from the working class.

The US doesn't have and doesn't need a moral argument. Ukraine has the moral argument, and we support them out of more or less a business interest. What matters most is that we the people support Ukraine - that cynical arms dealing is just an added bonus. (And Ukraine is making much of its own ammunition now!)

Absolutely. Biden has been a Zionist for longer than I've been alive. The western powers can't be convinced, not because of Hamas recent actions - but because it took a lot less to convince them, and they've held those beliefs before through and after Hamas' most recent attack.

Thin clients! $30, sometimes $15, for just as much CPU power as the Pi. More power usage, though. And ensure you buy the cables and SSD, check carefully what the seller is including or excluding from the shipment.

The labor force just gained tens of thousands of America's most talented engineers, and as you pointed out, they likely have the funds to choose their next job carefully. I'm optimistic about what they will do!
