Presumably, your country pays its servers a living wage so they don't have to scrape by on tips. This has been the state of the US labor market in most non-fast food restaurants for decades:

A tipped employee engages in an occupation in which he or she customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. An employer of a tipped employee is only required to pay $2.13 per hour in direct wages if that amount combined with the tips received at least equals the federal minimum wage [$7.25 per hour]. If the employee's tips combined with the employer's direct wages of at least $2.13 per hour do not equal the federal minimum hourly wage, the employer must make up the difference. Many states, however, require higher direct wage amounts for tipped employees.

I'm taking down my big Supermicro server to save energy and moving Plex/Jellyfin/*arr to a spare 10th gen Intel NUC with SSDs. Performance is fine for DirectPlay media to my SHIELD and mobile devices, but the onboard GPU power is limited and struggles to even transcode some 1080p media -- let alone 4K. Does anyone have experience using eGPUs in a Thunderbolt chassis with a NUC and can you share what worked or didn't work for you in terms of hardware and configuration?

Edit: this is an i7-10710U with NVMe storage and 32GB of RAM, running Windows 10 with all the latest drivers directly from Intel.

This raccoon has been destroying my roof and scaring my dogs at night for months and I finally had enough. I crawled out my window in my underwear with a flashlight and a Microtech Halo in my teeth (admittedly idk what my plan was here, just enjoy the imagery) and tried to scare it off the roof but it crawled down my chimney instead. I trapped it in there by stuffing some heavy blankets tightly inside but that's not exactly a long term solution. I've got the gas shut off so I don't kill myself and my dogs with carbon monoxide from the water heater -- so I did at least plan that far ahead, but not much further... I don't really want to hurt the little guy but I can't have him continuing to tear apart my soffit for shelter.
