First I'm hearing of it but I haven't been keeping up to date on it. That sucks. What else can we use? LimeTorrents tried to get me to install blatant malware in order to even search the site so I noped the fuck out.

Amazing. I hope you ripped it to keep a copy, because that sounds like it'll be impossible to find again

c.h.u.d. 1984

lmfao thank you so much, and there I thought I had been thorough in my search before posting!

I'm looking for C.H.U.D (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.H.U.D.). I tried the following searches when searching 1337x.to:

  1. "C.H.U.D." -- The result was: "Please make sure atleast one word in your query is more then 3 characters. Your search is too short." And I saw it had changed my search string to "C H U D"

  2. "CHUD" -- this returned a bunch of porn, and eventually "C.H.U.D.II.Bud.the.Chud.1989.1080p.BluRay.H264.AAC" showed up in the list. But not the first C.H.U.D movie. And when I searched for "C.H.U.D.II" in the search bar, it once again claimed the search query was too short, and replaced the dots with spaces.

Please help.

Edit: problem solved thanks to you! Just had to out a space between C.H.U.D. and 1984

What will that do? I keep having to pass cloudfare capchas to access 1337x

Yeah it's unfortunate. I've bought some applications before but like I said, I have them and a license key and they should run forever. I like different machines or OSs for different tasks. This very particular thing I'm interested in is to troubleshoot some (I think) aberrant wake-from-sleep behavior on a mac laptop so unfortunately I don't think that's going to work out.

Though I suppose I could throw Linux on it and see if it still has the same sleep/wake issues, to isolate whether it's a software/OS thing or a hardware issue.

Wow I didn't know it was even possible to decompile compiled code. I know how to code and debug, but you're right this is a big step past my current skills. And of course wouldn't you know it, the decompiling tools for mac are very expensive and aren't available to torrent either. This might be a dead end for me.

Well, thank you, I learned something today.

There's a troubleshooting application for MacOS I'd be happy to buy, but the developers only offer it as on a subscription model, which is unacceptable. If I'm going to buy software, I'd better be able to own it and still be able to use that version in 10 years. Subscription is the worst of both worlds -- pay for the thing, but don't get to own it.

I couldn't find a crack of it on torrentmac.net, so now I'm itching to try cracking it myself. I have the free trial downloaded and installed but it expires in a couple weeks. Any tips?

Absolutely not. I have had recruiters contact me about "defense" (read: murder and imperialism) companies and flat out refused to even consider the jobs.

I hold the position that if I knowingly helped design a system that delivered a bomb which, for example, blew up someone's wedding party, I would have to pay the murdered people's families reparations out of what money I do have, and kill myself to atone for abetting that atrocity. Defense contractors are disgusting, I don't know how they can delude themselves into doing their evil jobs and keep living with thr shame.

Love everything he criticizes (corporate greed, drm, wasteful planned obsolescence, unrepairable disposable device design) are all incentivized and rewarded under Capitalism ... but since he's a small business owner he still supports the idea of Capitalism.

He gets so close.
