There is i2pd project at Github as well, it's C++ implementation of the protocol and tends to have better performance

There is i2pd written in C++, it's slow because of lack of participants and level of encryption and layers i2p offers in order to provide total anonymity. Old doesn't mean bad, it's improving, the older better. It's still actively maintained and tried.
Why not support and improve privacy respecting protol like i2p?
No one should feel pain of installing Windows, no one deserves that
You have all locally, the remote is just an encrypted backup
You need less time to learn/read-doc podman than posting the question + waiting for answers. Its a basic tool, when you need it -> read doc
