Who would be the bad faith actor here? Wiwynn? If they don't have an order, that's going to fall flat pretty fast. Seems like a pretty risky bet at $60 million. Twitter? Then it isn't Wiwynn's problem, Twitter can take care of their bill, and deal with their internal issues.

I wouldn't describe taking over a company and then not fulfilling obligations incurred prior to the purchase as good behavior. Would you?

I personally don't get expecting someone to put his livelihood on the line to say out loud what people want to hear. If Markiplier's lack of endorsement of piracy is what was going to stop you from pirating, I don't know what to say. If it's what it takes to make you stop supporting him, that's your choice.

For me, it sounds like he is saying, "My corporate overlords want me to say that piracy isn't the option. Heck, I don't know how it works, but it isn't too hard...uh...but I know only a little about it. They're standing behind me, aren't they?" I like him well enough, but have only watched his channel on other people's devices. If he was more senior, he might say different things, not unlike some developer studio leaders. He might not, hard to say. It won't have any bearing one way or another on my actions.

I will never stop calling any scene where an object is moving towards people and they run directly away from it while it's gaining on them as "the Prometheus school of running away." This was only slightly less stupid than trying to outrun a train...on the tracks.

I have a coworker that says we need more CO2 in the atmosphere. 🙄

I agree. It would be like a composer who couldn't play an instrument writing a symphony. Just because he doesn't have the capability to produce the final outcome doesn't mean his vision for how the various pieces fit together isn't an artistry in itself.

That is a very powerful image, moreso than many of the other images I've seen of that event. It certainly isn't because of the people in it, but the timing to capture that gesture and the overall framing add something that is lacking in other pictures I've seen. No doubt that is the reason they selected it. Now they will have to use a lesser option.

Read a little deeper. Ever hear of Swanson dinners? Guess who his adopted mother is. His dad is the one who married into inexhaustible wealth, and he's been financially secure for most of his life, if not all of it. There are few people in America who could be less John Q Everyman.

This is the single biggest reason I don't want my own instance. It would either be an instance of one or it would be a giant hot mess (or both). I don't have the time or energy to moderate a bunch of other people. It's enough trouble moderating myself.

Wikipedia shows him as dual citizenship, born to an American mother (father may have been American, but only one parent is needed), and renounced his Canadian citizenship 10 years or so ago. Samantha Bee did a piece on him, showing some bad acting in high school, although it could have just been high school quality acting. I believe he was living in Toronto at the time.

Hey, Canada is pretty big on democracy, too. But Cruz is a piece of shit.

This was kind of my opinion. I don't pretend to know a lot about stocks, but when I look at a 1Y view and see the stock had doubled, and like you said a 50% increase in the last month, this looks less dramatic. I don't doubt it has something to do with a negative reaction to his latest rally, but I'd wait at least a day or two before I assumed this was a major setback for his stocks. Obviously, I'm not day trader material.
