It’s law and order with a bit of “thou shall not steal”. There’re people who never question the root cause.

Totally agree about WhatsApp as I no longer use it due FB shenanigans. A lot of people do though which is interesting as it so easy to move.

Using things like Signal and WhatsApp may reduce your footprint further.

I’ve used wifi calling from hotel rooms overseas as well as locations where mobile coverage is poor and it works fine. I suspect (not know) that the voice network provider knows pretty much where your location is though.

Sequestration only is possible if the concentration of CO2 is high enough, like on the exhaust of a coal fired power station. So where is the extra energy coming from to drive the process? Not from renewables as there is insufficient to meet the needs of decommissioning. More fossils have to be burnt paid for by the tax payer, Sequestration is pretty much a smokescreen to.avoid transition from fossil fuels.

Maybe he should read Juice by Tim Winton to see how people in the future feel about that! He’s one of those deadhead techbros.

I prefer Microsoft Hotmail as they are way behind Google when it comes to monetisation.

The Canon driver needs to be installed on Fedora and has never worked out of the box without some tweaking. Canon is not really in the Linux support game.

The Canon Pixma has always problematic for me with driver issues.

The best defence is to reduce fuels loads in the off fire season. Sadly the off season is becoming shorter. Designing infrastructure to be fire resilient is a necessity which requires design rule changes and regulation.

Wow, someone mentioned climate change in an article about wildfires! Wonders will never cease!

Sounds like a win for Canada!

It’s pretty obvious that if you are a blinkered radical, then everything is about you and your cult.

I’ve seen the odd reference to live tracking (like WhatsApp) in Signal but as I can’t find any real detail I assume that it doesn’t exist. Is that the case?

It’s not surprising that we may have passed 1.5c however the confirmation that climate science is on the money is a worry.
