Oh no, what if someone hacks my seedbox and... Uses it to also pirate things?

Aside from just changing the api keys if i notice abuse, i really could not care less if other hackers use my seedbox credentials or "steal" my downloaded files.

This is a fun exercise but ultimately it just goes to show the benefit of a seedbox, even if your box gets "hacked" its not like you would be storing any kind of private/personal info on there... Right?

Invest in a $2 pair of ear plugs, apartments tend to be like that. Most likely the person is not doing it intentionally, or if they are then the best revenge you can get is to tell them how well you selpt in spite of their futile efforts to annoy you.

One thing to keep in mind is thar mozilla is now an ad company and can use this data itself for whatever advertising it wants to sell, so they dont even need a third party they can just sell targeted ads directly to companies while not technically "sharing" the info they gather to anyone.

Basically, why sell the data to other people when you can profit from using it directly?

This seems like well intentioned but ultimately pointless. Nothing is stopping a nazi group from just forking off an older version like how gab did with mastodon, and no currently active funkwhale pods allow right wing content already.

I have like 10 different family members using my server. If I have to do anything beyond just letting them log in to a plex account on the app to get access, they just won't.

Umm that is all you need to do with jellyfin. You can setup wizarr and give them invites to create an account or just manually make them and give out the info to people.

In a way crypto has fulfilled the promise of "banking the unbanked"... Its just that the main group of ”unbanked” people happened to be criminals and scammers.

Its been a huge boom for scammers, before this you had to convince people to use wester union or something and convince a person they are talking to some inconvenienced soon to be oil barron, now all they do is throw up a website with tradingview charts and people will throw money at them.
