Have you been to More Books, around the corner from the Powell's on Hawthorne? They don't want you to use your cellphone, are anti-wifi, only accept cash and use a handwritten ledger - all of which I find quite charming in a bookstore.

They had a ~100 year old typewritten compilation of translated Chinese sex jokes.

Not much fantasy/sci-fi but if you like books it's got a real 'living my best life in my bookstore' kind of vibe that you might enjoy.

I really love seeing a well curated list, and that's a well curated list.

It is interesting to see how different acceptable public behavior is now.

I presume that anyone following politics knows that can't hurt trump, at least.

Ah, I think I misunderstood then. It sounded to me like you were saying that young meant young but still of legal age.

Legal. Probably why they used that term.

I doubt it.

There's no point mentioning it at all if the topless women were obviously legal, but plenty of reasons to be unclear if they were obviously underage.

Mentioning epstein and "young" women very clearly implies underage, without opening the door to defamation.

Trump has definitely molested children. He's a serial rapist whose hang-out buddies are some of the world's most prominent pedophiles.

Even if trump wasn't specifically asking for children, there's no way he's checking IDs before he sexually assaults victims of trafficking.

CEOs tend to be people who have worked their way up through large organizations ... servant leaders who have succeeded by bringing people together to win as a team, with integrity, global thinking, and open minds.

Incredible that someone could believe that, say it with a straight face and still not be gullible enough to support trump.

That picture of Riker makes me want a TNG remake in the style of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace with Riker played by Matt Berry.

The musician I saw last week mentioned that he'll get more money if you buy a CD from him now than if you stream his catalog on spotify for the rest of your life.

Exactly. Trump doesn't have any policy goals, he couldn't care about any of that.

Trump's only wants are his base emotional needs: eat a hamburder, grope an unwilling child, be complimented, see others suffer. Anything more sophisticated than that is being done for someone who's giving him burders, babes or bribes.

There are many contributing factors. Part of it is russian and american oligarchs spending heaps of cash to amplify any and every message that could help trump win.

My parents have always referred to each other as their partner, so that's what I've always done. It's just normal.

Since moving to the US people get so weird about it. I had a boss's boss ask me why I call my wife my partner in a skip-level. I was so confused I just stared at her and said "What?" It was like being ask why I think oranges are citrus fruit.
