ok, given that statement, I'll never get inside a holodeck.

and given how often they mess things up, I'm surprised they are even legal in the federation.

I mostly drink water, bit sometimes I need an extra caffeine.

It is obvious the closet dude didn't cheat on your girl, he's gay, sad that he still in the closet.

I know this isn't new, but I think we can officially consider our society a cyberpunk one, where corporations control global policy.

Plus: AI assisted omnipresent survailance, Police states, needless tech everywhere, no one owns anything just subscriptions...

cool theory, Probably impossible to test let alone prove. but fun theory anyways.

Would it be OK if I pat myself in the back because I wondered if that was a possibility when I learned about dark matter? I'm not a physicist, but I was thinking about parallel dimensions fiction and asked that question.

That dude needs to read Kropotkin. His book on mutual aid is all about how cooperation is a natural law as well.

A small article about a small paradox that applies to bigger social issues, and the value of community

A short story I wrote.

I know it is Medium, but there should be no paywall.

I have too much time on my hands lately. I have decided to challenge myself and try to write something every day. I like writing essays, but sometimes I also enjoy science fiction stories. If it is alright with this community, I will post those stories here.

Dear mods: Not sure if this counts as self-promotion. If it does please remove it ASAP, or tell me and I will do so myself.

This is a first contact diegetic document. Talks about deep time, mega engineering, and existentialism.

What Saddetective and GlizzyGuzzler gonna do about it?

My friends keep sharing video links from all social media, and I really don't want to download tiktok, Instagram, Facebook,...

is there an app that will open those links and show me the video? also given that some of those apps require an account.

I make 9kg of bread every weekend (reasons). so when I wake up I start blooming the yeast: 3268gr of water, 109g of sugar, and about 20gr of yeast. I had to leave for something so I came back two hours later, it smelled amazing, next step is to mix in the salt (218gr) and flour (5440gr) , I usually put the flour first then salt. but this time I put the salt first.

What happened? it fizzled like a soda, like mixing baking soda and vinegar, so many bubbles appeared immediately. I noticed because of the sound it made (was looking at the scale numbers).

Obviously it cannot be a chemical reaction because salt does not really react with anything there, at most it kills some yeast cells before mixing because some parts would have high salt content. there has to be some cool biology involved. And I refuse to ask any AI for that

I tried 3d print glue stick. washing with alcohol. wash the nozzle, cold pull, higher bed temperature... nothing,

the i has 3 successful prints with the same file, and now for the life of me I can't get it to work
