We need to accept that we damged the earth and the more we put towards carbon tax will. The video will consist of apologies, thoughts and prayers, including reconciliation, and the pathway to the future. Please find the link here:

Not to rain on that parade, but there are some pretty inovative companies using AI for the betterment of society as a whole. What we all hear and see in the media is really stupid corporate types of AI use, which ultimately will fail because AI lacks one thing we all possess, and that is feeling. AI lacks the ability to insightfully mix in feeling to convey the output.

Where it's great is where it's all used for calculations similar to how super computers were used.

No idea about recourse in BC, but in Ontario former tenants have a year after a bad faith eviction to go after landlords for moving costs and a year's worth of rent difference the tenant has to pay at the new location, there may be some other things I'm missing. Unfortunately, I think the max is up to 35k, which sadly may not even cover the cost in loses.l, but better than nothing.

I hope there is something like that there. greedy landlords are a big part of the housing issues we are experiencing. Too many landlords that operate like cowboys in the wild west. They need to be penalized.

Only because they want the farmland to build on it. Christ, this country is an absolute mess.

Big tech absolutely will. Why not? If the feds create really stupid rules and the cheapest alternative for tech companies is to exclude, then of course that is what they will do.

I don't personally think this is a genuine move to support Canadian media. It's more akin to how feds treat Canadians to fund Canadian media. They are just trying to push it to non Canadian tech companies.

And if you raise the taxes on rental properties, who is going to eat that shit? Landlords? No. It will be renters.

Took me a little while to figure some things out, with which subjects were active, figuring out nsfw instances, then adjusting themes so it appealed to me more.

I'm really liking the way as I was figuring that out, there has been more user activity and posts.

I hope it continues, but regardless I'm here for the ride. Long live Lenny!! (And Lemmy)

Thanks, I was trying to look for how to do it in settings.

Realized my mistake, and I should have been selecting the menu beside my actual profile name at the top. Then add a new account (after setting it up first directly on the other instance's site) then adding that info to the new account.

Amazing how motivating some nsfw content can be. Lol

Please bare with me if this is a really noob question. Still finding my feet here.

Im using the connect app and created my account on the propiracy lemmy instance. However, as I'm learning about other instances, I was interested in creating a different account on a nsfw instance. Don't shame me! When I go into settings, I have no ability to manually change the instance, there are 3 other prepoulated instances that I can tap and the instance field will change. Those aren't the instances I'm looking for.

Wondering if what I am trying to do is even an option. Can we have multiple profiles within the connect app that reference different instances?

Thanks to anyone that can help.
