It definitely will be running on the same old tired engine. It's listed on the wiki as the engine in use already.

That's exactly how I felt too. I tried SO MANY times to build the ship I wanted. Never could get it done. I even console-command-cheated vendor stock to allow myself access to every part at my home base, and even STILL THEN I could never get it the way I wanted it. It was important to me for role-playing purposes for every crew member on board to have their own bed, and a good kitchen, living space, bathrooms, etc... Stuff that just makes sense for a spaceship that is essentially a flying house. But so many times I could never get the damn ship builder to do what I wanted. I'd change some random part, and then BAM some of my beds would disappear for no reason? Ok well now two of my crew members have nowhere to sleep. wtf.

Just wound up abandoning my entire build and going back to the same ol ship I'd been using the whole game.

spoilerIt's also absolutely bizarre to me that the end-game ship, the one I had been looking forward to for SO LONG is just completely and totally 100% empty. When I had my crew members on board, they just stood still in place and stared at the wall. What the hell is going on here!??!?!?! That really ruined the entire ship for me. Could never get over that.

Yes. This is blatant misinformation. Nobody "agreed" to anything. The actual nyt article doesn't even use this word. This post needs to be deleted.

I had dabbled in it off and on since LONG LONG ago, but I only went full time (no dual boot) since windows 11 release. So yeah, I bet there's lots others like me.

Yeah he basically wrote a book full of a bunch of lies in which he shits all over kentucky, but also the entire appalachian region with just a whole truckload of baseless claims and completely made up "stories" of his upbringing that never happened. It's all lies. Like @eestileib said, it just preyed on the prejudice big city people all over the country had about this region, having never actually been here at all. They think of Appalachia and think no shoes, inbred hillbillies who can't even speak and don't have running water. Vance wrote a NY TIMES BESTSELLER (how on earth did they approve that) that just made up a bunch of lies confirming all those prejudices. In reality Appalachia is one of the most unique, gorgeous, creative, wonderful places on earth. Of course it has its problems, but Vance would never write something about how beautiful and wonderful something is. He'd much rather write something that tears down and belittles people he knows nothing about.

As I said: he's probably the #1 most hated human around this region.

It was indeed buggy, which was when I reached out to support. They immediately asked if I was using not Google Chrome itself, but a Chromium offshoot like Brave or Vivaldi. I was using ungoogled chromium, so they told me it won't work. I switched to regular google chrome and it worked great. I wonder what on earth they're using that's part of Google Chrome that makes it work and not part of any other chromium projects.

man, I used to be interested in the pickup, not so much anymore. If I buy a car, it's mine to do whatever the F I want to do with it, I'll never buy any vehicle I don't own. (In this case no consumer ever owns a rivian)

I'm from central KY and my wife's from Appalachia. I think the entire region would have a massive week long party titled "FUCK JD VANCE FOREVER" if this happened. He's one of the most hated people around here. You even bring up his name and you can see people's heart rates and fury and anger go up even before the ranting begins.

Ladybird looks great! Very much looking forward to an alpha linux release so I can use it and give all kind of feedback.

There's already plenty of business web apps that require chrome. I specifically use a business focused web app that not only requires Chrome, but ONLY CHROME ITSELF and no chromium derivatives. That's the first time I've come across that. I had previously seen chrome requirements, but they worked just fine on ungoogled chromium. Not this one, nope. Regular Google Chrome and nothing else. wtf is that garbage.

Just tried it out with my proton account. Looks great! It's very simple, but I also like that about it. And of course being private is wonderful.

I don't understand the love for this show. My wife watches it, and randomly I'll catch a few minutes of it, and I swear every single scene is depressed people screaming at each other, or repeatedly yelling the word CHEF a thousand times in a row. Is there a single scene when a person smiles? Is happy? I call it "the yelling show".
