Yeah, you're good. It's bright, but it matches.

Genuine suggestion here, what if you looked at children's smartwatches? Like the Garmin vivofit Jr. 3?

I noticed that in lots of candid photos (and even in watch review videos), tritium tube watches will seem dim and uneven to the point where they look kind of crappy. Digital/phone cameras can't seem to catch the light tritium puts out correctly- they aren't as good at seeing it as your eyes are. When I like a watch I always look online for candid pictures of people wearing it so I can see what the watch looks like outside of photoshopped promo pictures, but for tritium watches that doesn't work very well. So for anyone wondering, with the brightness of my Pixel phone set at about 40% (so I don't blow my eyes out in the dark) this is what the tritium tubes in a Deep Blue watch will look like when the watch is actually on your wrist. A lot of companies get the tubes from the same place, so it's probably a good standard.

I generally see a watch I think is cool, research it to see if it's something I'll actually like/will wear ...and then I make myself wait 2 weeks to a month. I look at other watches similar to that one. I walk away and look at completely different sorts of watches, and then come back a few days later to see if I still love it. Then when I buy it, if I put it on and I don't like it as much as I thought I would, I send it right back. My Orient Bambino went back to Amazon the same day just because it looked dressier on my wrist than I thought it would and I knew I'd never wear it.

So like, I'll see a watch and go 'yess I want' in the first minute of looking at it, but I make myself wait a bit. That said, I still fall out of love with watches, or just don't end up wearing them much because I like other things better. When that happens, move the watch along to someone else and boom, there's an open spot in the watch box.

I wear my watches loose and that 4:00 crown is lovely, it doesn't dig into my wrist at all, I wish more watches were set up that way.

I'll admit I'm a little sad they didn't put a little severed head on the seconds hand

If you wanna be talked off it I gotta say that I think that Panerai crown guard is hideous and goofy, and the watch is about as luxurious-looking as something you get out of a crackerjack box. If I didn't know Panerai and saw it on someone's wrist I'd assume it cost them 50 bucks on Ali-Express. That said, if you love them then buy them who gives a shit what people think, make yourself happy.

Do a Google lens search with the picture you took, the first five results are this watch

Ok, go over to the Timex website, and start looking through their whole catalog. They are low priced, and more importantly most of them are smaller sized. Timex is a solid starter brand, and they have a lot of variety. If you find a style of watch you like the look of on their website, Google it and look through some of the other options different brands have for that style of watch. You probably don't want to start out with a 'just get this one watch' recommendation, you should look through a variety and find a style you like. If you find a watch you like but it is too big for you, don't be afraid to look and see if they have a women's version of the watch. If there is a women's version it's often almost exactly the same, just in smaller sizes, and nobody will know. Don't be afraid to get a quartz or solar watch if that's what you like, mechanical movements are something watch nerds really like because they're intricate and beautiful, but if you're just looking for a one watch collection and aren't super into watches there's nothing wrong with a quartz watch. Also, if you find a watch face you like but you don't like the strap, you can easily switch straps to dress the watch up or down, it takes about three minutes, and watch straps are cheap. If you swap a metal band for a leather one the watch will wear more fancy, and if you swap the metal for a nylon one it'll be more sporty and casual. Good luck!

Timex expedition field watch TW2V95300, and a Casio world timer because they're fun.

Hmm. Maaaaybe, if you bought like, an old vintage watch in good condition that was interesting in a way that won't fade away? Like an antique Vulcain Cricket or a railroad-age Ball pocket watch. Other than that, though I think you're out of luck.
