I stopped using every messenger besides signal and Matrix. Even my not tech savy parents are using signal now - its in my opinion the better solution to stand your ground and may push others into using the better apps

Did you tried DivestOS? Its my favorite Rom for the op6

OnePlus 6 and 6T had really broad custom Rom support, it is till now one of the best Phones for linux(pmOS) With some Roms you can even relock the bootloader

OpenSUSE back in the early 2000s. Since my parents got a new PC and the old one from '99 wasnt able to run Windows XP properly

My banking App works fine on GrapheneOS. At all i didnt really had any app so far which isnt working on GOS with sandboxed Google Services

I dont use root anymore. My daily driver is a Pixel 6 with GrapheneOS which works out of the box really well for me.

I allways symlink(ln -s) some folders from my HDD(Pictures, Movies, Documents, Music) since i dont want to have all my home folder on my slow HDD. May this is an Option for you.
